How did I find the answers to these questions myself?
I knew my wardrobe was beautifully co-ordinated with plenty of black (can’t go wrong – always in fashion) and white, to brighten the outfits and a touch of bright pink for that special occasion. To compliment my collection, my choice of jewellery had to be silver. And I certainly wasn’t going to wear make-up that clashed with my style.
Then, at the age of 40, I had my colours done by a friend – Valerie – I will always be indebted to her. Thank you isn’t enough.
I discovered that my black should have been brown; white to be replaced by cream. And the shades of autumn were a delight to find and wear. Basically, my existing wardrobe was perfect, but the only thing it didn’t go with was me!
With my new colour swatch, the choice of clothes, make-up, hair and accessories enable me to shop with ease and excitement. All of this had to be shared and my journey began.
I trained to be a Colour Consultant 12 years ago and I am now an affiliated member of The Federation of Image Consultants. I have a private Colour & Style studio in Harlow.
