How did I end up as an Image and Colour Consultant?
I knew my wardrobe was beautifully co-ordinated with plenty of black (can’t go wrong – always in fashion) and white, to brighten the outfits and a touch of bright pink for that special occasion. To complement my collection, my choice of jewellery had to be silver. And I certainly wasn’t going to wear make-up that clashed with my style.
Then, at the age of 40, I had my colours done by a friend (Valerie)- I will always be indebted to her. Thank you isn’t enough.
During my colour consultation, I discovered that my black should have been brown; white to be replaced by cream. And the shades of autumn were a delight to find and wear. Basically, my existing wardrobe was perfect, but the only thing it didn’t go with was me!
With my new colour swatch, the choice of clothes, make-up, hair and accessories I had discovered enabled me to shop with ease and excitement. I wanted to share all of this and my journey began. I trained to be a Colour Consultant twelve years ago, am now an affiliated member of The Federation of Image Consultants and have a private Colour and Style studio in Harlow.
