FAB stands for Fabulous and Beautiful and is a support group offered to cancer patients at St Margaret’s Hospital in Epping on the first Monday of every month. It brings together a group of beauticians and stylists who volunteer their expert advice and tuition for cancer patients.
Anita Gray is involved with FAB as an image consultant. As quoted in Issue 1 of Mwaah magazine:
There are certain aspects to losing one’s hair that most people won’t even think of. Once your eyebrows have gone there’s no frame for your eyeshadow; eyelashes disappear so mascara can no longer outline the eyes. You no longer have hair to highlight the face or give a colour against which to play shades of clothes.
A whole new set of rules has to be put in place, and I work together with the FAB beauticians to help establish a ‘New You’ to be proud of, taking the side effects of your treatments into consideration.
